Follow up this lesson with a hands on activity. Example: Head to the beach and instead of making sand castles, choose one land form (island) and one water form (lake) to create using the sand. Another idea is to use brown and blue play dough to create one land form and one water form with your child. Bring this lesson to life. Don’t do too many hands on examples at a time, just two at a time and only move on to another two when your child shows full understanding for the first two.
